Tenor/Soprano: Ron McCarley joined Royal Garden Swing Orchestra in 2011. He has been heading up the jazz program at Cuesta College since 2005, where they have received many awards since his arrival. Ron's focus is playing the saxophone, but is also proficient performing with his flute. He has performed in southern and central California over the years and spends lots of time doing studio work. Ron is married and has 2 boys. When he's not busy with Royal Garden Swing Orchestra or playing with one of the  other local groups, he enjoys spending time at home with his family.                                                                          

  Baritone: Bob Sennett is very well-known on the Central Coast as a composer and an excellent musician. He moved to California in 1963 and began writing and performing for big bands, including Glenn Henry Orchestra and Santa Barbara City College, in addition to performing in bands backing Pat Suzuki and Jimmy Dean. Bob moved to San Luis Obispo in 1970 and eventually retired from Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo so he could devote more time to composing and performing. In addition to playing baritone saxophone in the Royal Garden Swing Orchestra, he has performed with the Central Coast Swing Band and the Cuesta College Evening Jazz Band.

 Tenor: Scott Liddi got serious about the saxophone when he attended Ventura Jr. College and joined their big band. Next he moved up to the Cuesta College Big Band, which was under the direction of Dr. Balfour. Scott continued on at L.A. Jazz Workshop and Dick Grove School of Music. began his musical career in the early '80's with private instructors and mentors, Warren Balfour (RGSO's esteemed director), the late RGSO member, Marty Wright, Tom Buckner, David Binney, Vince Trombetta and Andy Harp. He loved it, and finding he had a natural talent, went on to play in many ensembles and bands, including Cuesta College Jazz Ensemble, San Luis Jazz Band and MoodsVille Jazz Duo. Throughout his career he led such bands as the Spruce Goose Band, Squids Inc., Calamari Jazz Trio and currently directs Gruvething. Scott also co-produced a CD while he was with Squids Inc.
